APEX

"Can sharks smell fear?"

This solo performance about Female Great White Sharks is a multimedia, sensory, Lynchian, dreamy nightmare.

A sinister and charming shapeshifter takes you on a hellish sea world tour in murky waters of twisted narratives and predatory dances. For those brave enough to swim the depths APEX has been described as "Cool, creepy and clever."

One audience member said post show; "I was scared but excited..."

BYKER KINTSUGI

What happens when East meets West?
Kintsugi is the Japanese Art of repairing broken pottery with gold. Byker Ward was home to Maling Pottery, once the biggest in the world. This unique true story takes us from the Neon streets of Tokyo to the microclimate of Byker in one woman's search to make sense of culture shock and trauma.
This performance uses storytelling and clowning to explore what happens when East meets West and the magic of returning home to your roots and yourself. A darkly funny look at PTSD, the search for belonging and how healing may look different for everyone.
This 30 minute solo show has been described as;

“Quirky, poetic, powerful, heartfelt and warming.”

“Beautiful, strange and funny”

“Moving, funny, informative, immersive, North East Lushness.”

“It was so beautiful, unique and vulnerable."

“What a wonderful emotional piece of theatre. I thought that was brilliant, really fucking good!”
